On Sunday I went to Altrincham to do an Autumnal style portrait session with Gail, Greg and 5 year old Bonnie. It was a really lovely afternoon (except when it started raining!) and here are my favourite images.

So finally, yesterday, me, Tom and my better half Chris (because he needed to hold the flash off camera and possibly an umbrella too) found time to take the still portrait for my masters project.
At the same location on Canal Street as before (see previous post) but at dusk to give better lighting. The idea behind the image is to provide as much sense of Tom as possible (but in a beautiful image that you would put on your wall).
So what do you think? These are the four final images. The mini consensus at the cinema last night was number 2 but it's still up for debate until we've made the moving image bit too. Please bear in mind the composition is the way it is because we're going to take out a hole in the bottom right of the image and put in a moving image/film to show another side to Tom (hopefully dancing).
So next step is to get the filming done, print an example version and then move onto the next subject. Um Jo, that's still you if you're reading this!

On Sunday I photographed the wedding reception of Zoe and Serge at the Marriott Hotel in Worsley. The wedding itself happened the day before in Gloucestershire, Zoe's family home, but they live in Manchester and therefore wanted a party in Manchester!
Serge is from Senegal and I was warned that I would photographing the mad dancing of his footballer friends. It certainly proved to be an interesting evening finishing at 1am!
My favourites are below and you can view all the images in, yet another, new web gallery for me (this one's pretty slick!). Click here

The above design has taken some time but it was finally sent to print this week! I hope it shows my design skills improving and i'm really looking forward to seeing it for real.
The slideshow format for displaying it is new, I wonder if it'll work on Facebook? If not just click through to my main blog page.
