I finally finished editing the dress rehearsal images from Shilo's production of Merrily We Roll Along during last night's performance!
It's been a pretty manic week, but I really love doing backstage stuff particularly with a show like this where you really benefit from seeing it over and over. The music is firmly wedged in my head now.
The full selection of images is online. However this is my new Bridge CS4 gallery layout and an awful lot of the images are displaying pixelated- does anyone know why and what I should do? It's very frustrating.
Anyway here are my favourite images.

Not last weekend but the weekend before, I photographed the wedding of Sarah and Pete. They got married at Hollin Hall in the Derbyshire hills and, although cold and dark, we got some stunning photographs. I had a particularly lovely time because I knew so many people there and I think this affected the style of the images. Sarah and Pete get back from honeymoon tomorrow and I always like to have the images finished for their return, so guys the disk is going in the post today!
Here are my favourites.

This weekend as well as being photographer/guest to a wedding in the cold Derbyshire hills, (photos to follow) I got a last minute phone call from my friend Al who is one of the producers of the Shilo Theatre Company needing some photography for their next production, Merrily We Roll Along.
The show is going to have two projection screens running all the way through that will help to explain this complicated musical (complicated because it goes backwards!). Sunday was their first rehearsal in costume and therefore the first opportunity to get some imagery of the characters together. The imagery required was overall pretty simple stuff however the image below I think is pretty special and deserved a blog posting! The story behind it is that our leading characters are at their youngest age, star gazing and innocent to their chaotic future together.
Merrily We Roll Along is on at the RNCM, Manchester, from the 9th to the 12th December at 7.30pm and details to get tickets are on their website. Not only am I official photographer (photos from the dress will be posted here when I get chance!) but I am also crewing the whole week responsible for sound and projections, it's going to be a busy one!
I am also singing as part of SMAOS' fund raising christmas concert this week, 7.30pm on Friday and Sat (4th and 5th) at the East Didsbury Methodist Church. More details here.
