I didn't finish my posts as in the September I was asked to return to Norwegian Sun and once again I visited Alaska, and Central and South America living my best life with some amazing people (who I got see again recently due to corona putting us all on a ship together to be repatriated)!
This takes us to March 2018 when I came home but in the April I travelled to San Fransisco, a city I'd fallen in love with and wanted to see more of and I went with Mum.
Because I'm addicted to travel also in April 2018 I spent 10 days in Japan by myself and had the most amazing time.
By May I was back at work again, so still no blogging updates!
This time I joined the Norwegian Escape and being on one of the newest ships of the fleet it was my opportunity to fight for the promotion I'd always wanted. In August I was offered the position of Stage Manager.
I had to extend in my current role until the end of November, took 5 weeks vacation and returned back to Norwegian Escape as Stage Manager January 2019. During the 5 weeks vacation I had minimal travel plans (and money) so went only to Paris (during the riots!!) and Belgium.
My 6 months as Stage Manager onboard Norwegian Escape were fantastic, I realised I had definitely turned in the right direction and thrived managing Comedians, Magician and other performers.
However 2 back to back contracts onboard Escape meant travelling to Bermuda, and only Bermuda... as lovely as it is I also had already done one season before, I've now done a total of 3 Bermuda seasons. So while getting bored in Bermuda I planned an epic trip to Kamchatka, Russia (via Moscow) in September 2019.
I hadn't even got back from Russia and I was given a new contract to return to Escape who it turned out had been without a Stage Manager the whole time I'd been gone.
That was October 2019 and I didn't even make it to Christmas before I was transferred over to Norwegian Epic in the promotion position of Theatrical Operations Manager, which was a quite a ride and learning curve! I was only to do that position for 2 months so came home much earlier than expected with only 3 weeks vacation to get ready to join Norwegian Pearl.
I joined Norwegian Pearl on March 8th to handover into the position of Entertainment Production Manager and at the end of my handover week cruises were cancelled and I was stuck onboard in the middle of a global pandemic.
67 days later I made it home after being transferred to a ship heading to Europe and flying home from Barcelona.
And now we wait... for work, for travel, to just even be allowed to take a train to visit friends??
And so suddenly there is time to blog!
And to catch up from 2017? Well the next post was supposed to be about glaciers and I do have some amazing photos and videos...
